- Grease tape
- Tapered wood dowel plugs (one to fit each hull fitting penetration size on your vessel)
- Flat wood wedges
- A roll of natural fiber string
- Hammer
- Knife
- Rubber patch material
- Rags
- Small hatchet (to split wedges to the correct size)
- Clamps
Anything can be used to plug a hole. The idea is to give you time to secure your vessel, to prevent any more water entering your vessel, and allow your pump to keep up.
A bucket and hand pump will be necessary. Your batteries will be under water and electric pumps will not work.
Consider placing a separate charged battery and wiring in the wheelhouse or flybridge for your radios.
